ACT, Wales’ largest training provider, has once again been named as one of the UK’s top employers in the prestigious Sunday Times 100 Best Companies to Work for 2019 list. This is the fifth time ACT has achieved Best Companies status, having made it on to the Best Companies to Work for list in 2018, 2015, 2014 and 2012. In addition, ACT has also secured the Best Companies 2 Star ‘outstanding’ accreditation for its commitment to workplace engagement.
Split into four categories, big companies, mid companies, small companies and not for profit organisations, Best Companies to Work For list celebrates and showcases the very best in workplace engagement; it is the longest-running and most respected of its kind.
The Best Companies ranking was achieved following direct feedback provided by ACT employees focussed around their manager and team, personal growth, well-being, giving something back, leadership, the company as a whole and fair deal for employees.
As well as providing a positive environment to work, ACT rewards employees who help the company achieve their vision of making a positive difference to people’s lives. Colleagues are regularly nominated for external awards and put forward for the ACT internal ‘Staff Recognition Awards’. in 2018, our award-winning staff swept the board at the prestigious Apprenticeship Awards Cymru with all ACT nominees winning their respective categories.
To celebrate Best Companies Day on the 1st March and to say a big thank you to staff, brownies were sent out to all ACT centres where staff were encouraged to take pictures tagging #BestCompaniesDay for social media.
